Tombstone will be welcoming a new festival into town with the aim of attracting more tourists to the legendary district. The first Tombstone Wild West Days, which was sponsored by the Wild West Marine Corp and unanimously approved by the Tombstone City Council during their Sept. 8 meeting, is intended to bring more business to town. The event will take place Dec. 12-13 of this year. The celebration will pay tribute to the armed forces of the country. In other city council news, the Apache Market, 1007 E Fremont St., received a license to sell beer and wine. Also, Robert Reames was appointed to the Tombstone Historic District Commission. |
